Flooded meadows on an overcast day
Description
These water meadows alongside the River Avon are used to grow silage to feed cattle. They get flooded pretty much every winter. Come the late spring going into the early summer, before the meadows are cropped, they're a mosaic of grasses and wildflowers. Flooding in the winter is just one part of the cycle.
